

The City University of New York is the public university system of New York City. Every year, hundreds of thousands of students choose The City University of New York for a multitude of reasons that can be summed up as one: opportunity. Providing a quality, accessible education, regardless of background or means, has been CUNY’s mission since 1847 when founder Townsend Harris called upon New York City to create a public academy of higher learning to “educate the whole people.” CUNY joined the NAC CESU in 2006.
