- Public Law 113-287 was enacted in December 2014, creating Title 54 U.S. Code “National Park Service and Related Programs” as the new location for all NPS service-wide authorities — “the organizational structure of the existing law was improved, and ambiguities, contradictions, and other imperfections in the law were removed” (U.S. House). Additional information about the changes (e.g., from 16 U.S.C. to 54 U.S.C.) are contained in the associated House Report 113-44.
